This is the dual socket 8 or 12 core monster machine! For those that want the fastest processing and most memory available in a workstation, this is it! There is just tons of power at low latency, and at higher buffer settings for monster mixes! It comes stock in a compact minimal depth 4 space rack case, but can also be offered in a desktop case or a full depth 4U Rack case. It can be customized with up to 48GB of memory and a wide variety of media drives or raid arrays.
Stock it is very quiet. More than quiet enough for most control rooms. However the basic video card does use a fan that creates a very small amount of noise. For the CGR "near silent" system all you have do is uprade to the NVIDIA Quadro NVS 295 video card or other video card without a fan which you will find in the options below. The rest of the system is already configured for near silent operation! So this system is for anyone that wants the fastest DAW available at any price, that is rock solid, can handle a lot at low latency; and also do those monster mixes at higher buffer settings. It's got a lot of expansion, and room to grow (can hold up to 9 hard drives!) This system can actually have up to 13 hard drives in it, in various raid configurations! To house anything over 9 drives however, you must select the full depth 4U rack mount case.
