Well.... CGR is moving to Texas! I got a great opportunity in Houston, and so we are packing it in and heading to Texas. Custom DAW's, Location Recording, and most all of our other services will still be available. We are closing the Recording Studio in Nashville though.
Just give me a shout if you have any questions.
Toby Mac won a Grammy for his live record, "Alive and Transported" this year! As the recording engineer for the location recording in Houston, I received one as well!! Very exciting! It's been a lot of years hauling gear around and recording location events... but well worth it. It was a real honor to work with Toby, the amazing Diverse City band, and Brian Lenox. Now... where to put it.... someone told me a friend has theirs on their toliet...ha ha!
I am truly, truly honored and humbled to hear recently that two of the projects we recorded in 2008 have been nominated to received a Grammy Award! Casting Crowns, East To West was nominated as best Gospel Performance Song, and Toby Mac, Alive and Transported was nominated for best Gospel Performance Album!
I was the recording engineer on both of these live events. We recorded Casting Crowns in Florida and Toby Mac in Houston, both with our mobile Nuendo rig! These lived DVD's are definitely worth checking out if you haven't already. Congratulations to Casting Crowns and Toby Mac for amazing performances and getting recognized for them!
Also congratulations goes out to Kathy Mattea for her nomination as well! Her record "Coal" was nominated for a Grammy as well. It was mixed here at CGR studios by Mick Conley and produced by Marty Stuart! Another great all around record worth checking out!
