Production 

It is an exciting process to take a good song and make it great, or take a great song and just be true to it! The combination of technical skills, a connection to the music that you must allow yourself to have, a relationship with the song writer/performer, and just sheer creativity is the key. If you need help getting your song/project to sound right, we can help you with that. If you need help taking it to the next level, we can help you with that too. Mixing 

A great recording really comes together into an amazing final product with a thoughtfully, skillfully done mix.   Having great sounding gear, a real ear for the song, and a lot of experience really makes the difference.   Steve has been mixing the music of clients and his own projects for over 20 years.   We have a monster dual, dual core AMD Opteron Nuendo system with all of the UAD-1 Universal Audio plug-in's (4 cards), ALL of the current Waves Plug-in's, ALL of the URS Neve and API plug-in's, and many others.  We also have a very nice collection of outboard gear, and we use 32 channels of Lynx Aurora  conversion (which we chose OVER Apogee after a "blind test" comparison) into a 32 channel analog summing bus for the absolutely best of both worlds (analog and digital).  The mix is recorded back into the Universal Audio 2192, which is (in my opinion) the best sounding D/A and A/D to conversion in the industry.   We really work hard to give you exactly what you want in a mix but without the big "A" studio costs.  Just call or e-mail for a quote.

Audio Engineering
Engineering is an art unto itself. It is something that you can only learn so much of by watching others and asking questions, and then you just have to jump in and experiment. The more you do that, the better you get. You never stop learning, and you never stop evolving. Steve has been at it for more than 20 years, and worked with a lot of great artists and other great engineers and producers. He has a great selection of high-end mic pre’s and microphones as well as the skills to put them to proper use. We also have access to rentals on just about anything you might need for your project. We can even provide a full Nuendo Rig to track and mix your project if necessary. If you just need a guitar vocal, or you are tracking a full band, we can help you make your project sound amazing. Live Recording
We have a great mobile Nuendo Recording rig. We have done quite a few live recordings around Nashville now with great success, in venues like the Wild Horse Saloon, The Belmont Curb Center, and Bellevue Community Church! We can handle large and small needs, digital or analog. We can pull together everything you need to make this happen fully independently of your front of house system.
