Steve brings almost 20 years worth of recording, playing, and tweaking experience to the table as a consultant. From the age of 15, he has been playing in bands, teaching guitar, recording as an artist, engineering and producing his own work, engineering and producing others, working in a wide variety of studios from huge to tiny, and building and tinkering with computers. Steve is also a self-professed “gear nut” and has a lot of experience with a huge assortment of the “tools of the trade”. At Cryptic Globe Recording, we bring all this experience to the table to help you with whatever your musical or technical needs might be. We can recomend the RIGHT gear for your needs, help you connect it all, teach you how to use it, help you with your computers or other high tech needs, etc.. Training and Advice

We can help you figure out that brand new computer or digital mixer you just bought! We can teach you the “ins and outs” of Nuendo, Cubase SX, Reason, Abelton Live, and just about any VST-Instrument/Plug-in known to man. We can teach you new and more efficient ways to accomplish your project needs. If you are ready to upgrade your studio, outboard gear, or just need to connect some new stuff, we can help you with all of that. We will not only recommend the RIGHT gear for your needs, but we can refer you to the RIGHT dealer for you and get you the best possible price as well. Tech Support

In today's studio the lines between analog and digital are now completely blurred. The number of ways and number of products you can use to record music today is simply mind boggling. Well, we love it! Analog to digital, digital to analog. In the box, out of the box, firewire, usb, high end gear, low end gear, it's all a "love thing" to us! So if you need help with your computer, or your old LA-2A (vintage compressor), or anything in between you have come to the right place. We can help you make sense of it all. We can help you hook it all up. If it's broken, we can fix it or refer you to the right person who can.
